i've been to dozens of job interviews and some seemed to go really great but for some reason I end up not getting the job. What do you think goes wrong????

Make sure you are confident, usually employers feel good about hiring someone that has confidence in what they respond to. Qualifications play a role depending on the job you are applying for.

There are some "tips for interviewer" books and WWW sites out there. There's plenty of information beyond the "dress appropriately" and "be knowledgeable about the company."

Wow, that's tough. Are you dressed appropriately for the job? not too much jewelry or perfume? modest but stylish clothing (no miniskirts or jeans).

could be that it's just not the right job yet. hang in there.

depends on what kind of job...in the science field, appearance is not going to win over qualifications and experience.

Ask the interviewers for feed back.

Look at yourself objectively.
