as he was leaving the gym, he is having his hip replaced this afternoon so he won't be around for a few months. But the interesting thing is that the women in the gym all of a sudden got more friendly right after he left....whats up with that?

NO! they don't think your gay! god people, mind in the gutter much? they all thought it was nice how you were able to actually be that much of a man to show your friend some form of emotion. Usually guys are all hand shakes and slaps on the back but you showed that you can actually be caring and not such a, well, tough guy. I'm sure all the girls really liked that in you and now they all want to go out with you. I'm a straight girl, trust me :)

It's because you showed compassion in public towards another person. Women want men who are compassionate and not just completely self-absorbed. Lots of guys at the gym give the impression that they are self-absorbed with their looks.

people are wird sometimes who cares what they thought of you anyway now there all nice ok whatever just if your trying to be friends with any of them just watch your step because they seem like the kinda people that will be nice then turn on you behind your back sorry about your buddy hope he will be ok and i would of hugged him myself and probly kissed him for good luck too lol

I would say that they think you are a caring and good man for the well being and health of your friend and they probably admire those qualities in you. That is my impression as it shows you have a good heart.

when he went away the others felt sorry for him and they think it would help him out by being nice, even people who dis-like him would even say stuff like "dude be carefull ok" and i have been hurt befor and had a realy bad injury so i have had an experience plenty of times
