Hmmm...the allied forces (US) is looking for a reason to attack Iran for resources. Wouldn't this make a perfect coverup excuse until they can come up with a better one? Definetly considering that over 50% of Americans have no idea what is going on.

The fact that Iran Seized a British ship they alledge is in their waters is hardly a safe way to resolve the issue;

I'd think Iran would be smarter than that, given the war going on right now in the region and the fact the British are involved.
Iran has been looking for a reason to get involved in the Iraqi war and now they have one.

I'm sure we'll have film at 11 as Britain uses force to protect their intertest. The conflict is now going to escalate.

The waters are disputed by Iran, even though they signed a treaty in the 1970's saying those waters are Iraqi. An Iraqi fisherman witnessed it according to AP and said it was Iraqi waters. I believe the Iraqi, the US and the Brits. Why shouldn't I. There's no evidence to the contrary.

Good question. In the past Iran has done this before. "Alledgedly" they were inspecting a ship, and next thing you know the Iran's have them surrounded. What was on the boat? Were they in "Iranian" waters? Iran has been saber rattling again this week.
Who knows who is telling the truth.

There is a difference in the range of national border lines in the sea.
For unarmed naval vessels its up to 3 miles, for armed ones its 8 miles.
So if weapons have been found on board and they been closer than 8 miles its their own fault.

I trust the Brits more considering the track record of what is coming out of Iran lately.
They have been very very loose with the truth.
Denying of the Holucaust comes to mind and others.

Actually we can't know who is telling the truth because we only have the British version.Iran hasn't had any official reaction about the incident,so we don't know their point of view...
So until then we can not decide who is telling the truth... We are still waiting for the Iranian version of how things happened...

In most cases the answer probably lies somewhere in the middle. Personally I think both sides are looking for an excuse to widen the conflict in the region for their own political & economic gains.

Lets see the western world with a free media capable of investigating on their own or the governmnet controlled media of Iran.

I think that answers it!

Who cares?
Everyone has their own version of the truth anyway.
The Brits shouldn't act like weenies just to demonstrate how fair and even handed they are.
It's really very simple.
The Iranians are the bad guys.
"Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war".
