During Vietnam, Lt. William Calley killed hundreds from the village of My Lai ,old men, women and children. Sentence? No prison. Only 3 years of "house arrest".
No surprise here.

The soldier who got 27 months did not rape and kill anyone, he was outside and guarding the road. You need to research your facts more before coming out with a blatant lie. He got unfairly jailed because he did not stop then, which is not his job.

There is more good in our military than to single out one deranged soul . But that's just the biased liberal media 's job - to put all Americans in the worst possible light .

Wow 27 months is a long time. If they were US civillians they would be out in 6 months for good behavior.

That's the American way! I'm sorry, but this shows that our military and the government do NOT care about the lives of innocent people in Iraq. If it wasn't for the liberals holding them back, they would let our boys go out there and slaughter every man woman and child in their path. It is f*cked up, and makes me sick to my f*cking stomach!

I've never been in favour of war or the army... I think its disgusting what we humans have come to, killing each other for old mens' political gains. The soldier(s) involved in this atrocity should be castrated alive and then burnt for such crimes.
