It's Freud, but I need any book and page number to reference it.I found it in an Erich Fromm book, but it is 500 pages long and I searched for days but could't find it. Is it any other book, if so could you tell me the title, author, publisher, publishing house and date and PAGE NUMBER for it?

You have my.........gratitude.

I cannot give you all the details you need but if you get a copy of Sigmund Freud's 'Collected Writings 1924' I think all will be revealed. Amazon and all the usual suspects should be able to oblige.

as far as I'm aware it is only attributed to Freud, it may not have been him originally
