If you're both single, no big deal. If one or both of you are married, problems. If he's been working with you or counseling you, that's pretty huge. While it may not be a crime, it is a major ethical violation and if found out, may result in him losing his position in the church.

In the church I used to go to, the pastor there (married with kids) started counseling a married woman. They became involved sexually and when he refused to leave his wife and children for this woman, she would get drunk and call the church telling anyone that would listen that they were involved. He eventually tried to kill himself, admitted what had happened, and basically lost his job as a pastor. The other woman then tried to burn his car, was caught and now she is going to prison for arson.

So, if one or both of you are married, STAY away.

Crime? No, there is nothing in the State or Federal statutes regarding falling in love with a pastor. You can not be arrested for that.

Falling in love is never a crime. Besides, pastors are allowed to marry aren't they? Even if he's taken already, don't sweat it. A person can't help who they care about.

No, as long as he hasn't taken a vow of celibacy or is married. I mean, how do you think they get married? They fall in love too. Pastors are people just like the rest of us, and they need a loving relationship in their lives, just like the rest of us.

If he is single, then it is perfectly fine.

If he is married, then while it is not a "crime" it is very sinful to be lusting after a man who already has a wife.

Not a crime, but it seems pretty hopeless. Unless he's in love with you too??? Then you both need to go to confession:)

Meggie falls in love with the catholic priest in the Thorn Birds movie. :) It's romantic, but she's too young.

Not a crime no. However, if he is a married man, it is something you need to divert your attention from. God bless****

If either of you are married and you lust for him, then it's certainly adultery in the heart.
