If somebody insults you here, instead of just civilly or intelligently setting them straight or reporting the abuse to Yahoo, you tend to set forth a Tourette's Syndrome-like torrent of cuss words, a reaction which in most cases just proves your provoker's accusations about you to be correct?

Binibini:
Calling me a pedo does NOT upset me at all--simply because it is not true. However, when I turn the tables around, you respond with vile ferocity when I infer that you are unable to control your emotions, which in turn makes my allegations correct. So much irony.

You don't think much, do you?

Lushbabe, I'm not sure if it's the fact that you live in Italy so your grasp of the English language is not as strong as it should be, but your latest answers make so little sense, I just worry about you sometimes. Oh well, I betcha your fan base of American expats will come to your defense to save you from me I guess. I'm just trying to be truthful.

Bini, I quote you from an earlier answer:
"my husband is American and I'm Filipina the problem is me being a spoiled brat, moody. but I'm getting better.......... :)) i still get what i want though."

Spoiled brat? Moody? I don't think that's a typical Filipino mentality, nothing to be proud of. I don't know of a Filipino man who could stand a bratty plus moody wife. Is that why you married one of *US*? All I ask is that you show what a good pinoy friend of mine described as "delikadesa" before you write another post here. Believe me, it makes you and other pinoys here look a bit better to the outside world.

Kapayapaan sa inyong lahat.

You calling me a racist, falsely innocent person makes me laugh loudly. If only you know what that word even means. I'm not Filipino, I'm American. I'm not black--nor am I wholly white. I have never made a serious racist comment here period. Ask Big P. You on the other hand instantly assumed that I was a fat bald white American pedophile trolling for Filipina hookers. Wrong Einstein! Aren't your incorrect presumptions proof positive that you are the racist here? I am a high level professional with a home, wife and kids. I work for an organization whos SOLE mission is to seek the betterment of 3rd world nations.

I can honestly say that you do not represent the Filipino people, with your angry foul racist mouth--so stop hiding behind that fallacy. I know and care more about the Filipino people than you. I eagerly travel to your country to help your countrymen while.you run away to marry an American.

Again and again, you consistently shove your foot in your mouth, hypocrit

Please, cool it.

Personally, does not take life seriously. Life is meant to be lived- lived happily and ethically.

Well: thank you for bringing to our attention that our way of presenting ourselves may influence other people's opinion of us as a group.

To my kababayans who are displeased at the moment: I understand that some react in such a way because they felt disrespected (intentionally or not). Please end the bickerings, it does not accomplish anything positive (more like adding fuel to fire) and gives visitors to this site a negative view of our culture.

To the Yahoo! Answer members who do their best to provide accurate and informative answers: bravo, you are much appreciated.

Please let us promote our culture more positively, it can be done.

Kapayapaan sa lahat (peace to all).

I joined this forum to learn and share what I know. Do you think that is serious?

But I think what I see here now is serious, everybody has gone ballistic.

I take pride in my being a Filipino, and I don't take insults kindly. But I also read between the lines to see if the questions posed are well-meaning enough or just mere insults. I am not a saint and I certainly know the cuss words but as much as possible I try to avoid using any of them in writing especially in public forums like this. As when I do lose my temper and let go of those words, I immediately know that I already lost the argument, since I have let the other person get the better of me. And worse, I simply cannot take the words back anymore.

How we comport online is how we are perceived and hence are answered. If we can answer intelligently without acting like people without culture, perhaps we can have an atmosphere where everybody can be polite if not friendly, in answering each other's question. While I know that for some based on their own words, they are here for the points, I on the other hand, am here to learn from others. Regrettably though, there are just a few good things I have learned so far from here. There are just a choice few answerers whose words I value reading

There are stupid questions that deserve stupid answers, true, but let us be discerning.

I see some of the questions of this nature as a way of rooting out not only of the knowledge but of the inner trait or the basic comportment of the respondents. And many fall for them without thinking, a lot of times with senseless jokes that reveal emptiness. or hapless tirades that wait for the cheering on by the gang to follow. It would be wise to defend our stand with reasons and supporting arguments not just through a "kuyog" mentality.

Let us develop the right kind of defense for our culture, that of being cultured Filipinos.

I'm not the hyper-reactive type, but there are some who are (I've actually had a guy threaten my life before!!!).
I will try to be civil when at all possible, and at worst I will tell the person irritating me to not bother me anymore or they'll be reported for harassment. Sadly, some jerks don't take a blatant hint when they get it though.

Mabuhay! It seems that some of the people here are out of their right mind. As I read all the answers, lushbabe & binibini have acceptable answers. Red, try to read peste's answers. He is just being a stupid dog like his image on his avatar. So don't be one of those uncivilized people here. And about the asker he have his own mind & he's old enough to differentiate between fair & unfair.
We are old enough here so let's just act our age. ♥♥♥

dude, why does it matter? if someone insults us here, we have the right to insult them back. instead of insulting us, why don't they begin with a civilly or intelligentally thread in the first place instead of an insulting one? what we respond, is what we feel. its our state of opinion. we don`t care how it puts off to people. i don`t even see why you pinpoint it here when so many other people do it. but whatever. if we report it as an abuse, it won't set that insulter straight. we do set people intelligentally straight -- eh, just in an anger management type of way :D

this is so unbearably child-ish between adults and how ever old you guys are -_- & i`m 15 years old too. bleh. anyway, i would not just take an insult, i would respond back, and often my emotions would get in the way of my speech and the name-calling ensues :] ahah. well. whatever tickles your fancy guys.

every person has its own way of dealing with insults from other people. and everyone has its own limitation. insulting someone just proves how insane some people can be. a person retaliates to defend himself/herself and to stress his/her point at the same time. each of us has our own ways of retaliating. everyone is different in their own way. we cannot conform them to our own views and outlooks in life but we can only share what's in our mind. yeah, there are times we take it seriously but we should be wise enough to sense that the other person just want to ruin your day by making senseless comments and questions. have a great day everyone!

well...well...well...i didn't know it's that interesting here in Philippines Community.

from what i read on your question WELL, i think binibini and most of the answer gave you the right respond you can't control what they want to say of how their going to react on certain questions.

I'm just following what you and bini has been talking and i think your the one who overreacted, you should read her answer again.

TELL US AGAIN WHO IS THE HYPOCRITE
Does this sound familiar? "I don't like Oreos or bananas......do you?" (Not pure racism but gets close)
"Well" you have, in the past, answered many questions rather well (no pun) and your answers have been serious why the sudden turnaround?
Why the constant bickering with BINBINI and LUSHBABE?
