There is no "one". Either you're compatible or not. Everyone has their "lists" of traits they want in another person. If that person fulfills a good percentage of that list, he may be compatible for you.

Unfortunately we, especially in the US, seem to be raised in believing there is one right person for us. This is completely false. There are on the other hand, people who are a better match than others. The biggest thing is to find someone that you like and can communicate well with, the rest will follow with some work.
