I know that Ridge is Phoebe's Dad & Brooke is Rick's Mom... But how does Rick have the last name Forrester?

Phoebe is the daughter of Ridge and Taylor
Rick is the son of Brooke and Eric.
Since Ridge is the son of Massimo, he is not the biological son of Eric.
Rick has the last name Forrester because of Eric's surname.
Ridge always thought Eric was his father, so he has the last name Forrester because he was born to Stephanie while she was married to Eric, the first time. It wasn't until Massimo came to town did Stephanie own up to Ridge's true parentage.

Brooke is rick's mom and Eric is rick's dad. But Ridge is not Eric's biological son. Some years back Ridge found out Stephanie had lied to him his entire life about Eric being Ridge's father. It turned out that Mezamo was ridge's biological father. The time when Stephanie and Eric where in collage - Stephanie slept with Mezamo. She slept with two guys during that time of her life. She believed Ridge was Eric's son. Not knowing who the father of her son really was and assuming that Eric was Ridge's natural father all that time - from the time they where married - up until a few years ago. So that makes Rick and Phebe not related. Ridge is really a Mar one while Rick is really a Forester. But Ridge considered Eric his father more than Mezzamo because Eric is the one who raised him and made him who he is now. So he goes by the name Forester instead of Mar one
