The lucky few. Are you not aware of what's happening in the world today? Gone are the days of being with the same company for a lifetime.Very few people from now on will ever be able to start and finish with the same job till retirement. Most will have several jobs, career changes, and retraining throughout their working lives.

I worked at the same place for 36 years. I was lucky that I received promotions, so I constantly experienced new challenges and increased salary. I felt that my job was meaningful, and that I was contributing to the well being of children. I would still be there, but had to retire because of health reasons. I am 60, not 115 years old!

Maybe they are content with their job. You rarely see that kind of loyalty with employees or companies anymore, I wish we would though. As far as beyond retirement most old people like to be doing something it makes them feel useful, so why not keep working if you can. Besides there are already enough people just sitting around not working collecting checks.
