The best and safest way would be to call an electrician and have them install a 220 outlet for you. Sure you could do it yourself, but if you're not exactly sure what you're doing, you could end up with an electrical fire or screwing up the nice new electric range. Better safe than sorry.

I think that an electric range runs off a separate fuse or circuit breaker like a clothes dryer. The plug on an electric range may not fit a standard outlet. It may be a big, ugly plug with three or more prongs. Go to a store and check one out. An electrician may have to run a wire to a new breaker (30 amp?) in your breaker box to a new electrical outlet in your kitchen. Your breaker box may have an unused breaker already there.

You will need to have some one run a new wire to the electric panel, it will be much larger then your normal plugs it will be a 8/3( 40 amps) or 6/3( 50 amps) romex wire and will be 220 volts and a new plug

You will need a 220 outlet for an electric range. I would suggest having an electrician wire it for you.
