1. With a negative in front of the second parenthesis, you reverse the signs of all the terms inside the second parenthesis, so:

(4-3m-m^2) - (m^2-6m+5) becomes
4 - 3m - m^2 - m^2 + 6m - 5
Combine like terms:
ANSWER: -2m^2 + 3m -1 (Write terms in order from highest exponent to lowest)

2. Distribute the 5x, then the +3 to the x^2-5x+4, which looks like:

5x(x^2-5x+4) + 3(x^2 - 5x + 4)

5x^3 - 25x^2 + 20x + 3x^2 - 15x + 12
Combine like terms:
5x^3 - 22x^2 + 5x + 12

for m2 to you mean m "squared" ? --> m^2?

if so

4 - 3m - m^2 - (m^2 - 6m + 5)
4 - 3m - m^2 - m^2 + 6m -5
4 - 3m -2m^2 + 6m - 5
4 +3m -2m^2 -5
-1 +3m - 2m^2
in the proper order:
-2m^2 + 3m - 1

(5x + 3) ( x^2 -5x + 4)

(5x * x^2) - (5x * 5x) + (5x * 4) + (3 * x^2) - (3 * 5x) + (3 * 4)
5x^3 - 25x^2 + 20x + 3x^2 - 15x + 12
5x^3 - 22x^2 + 5x + 12
