Planned troop withdrawal calls for all combat troops to be out of Iraq by March 31, 2008. Can we be any louder giving the insurgents a date to reawaken their terror spree? What is your take on this?

I'm sure the Dem's have planed to drop leaflets in Arabic all over the Baghdad area as a reminder. Move-On.org has a parade planed for the liberation march down the main roadway of Iraq's capital to announce the conquering of the American Infidel Occupations. The ANSWERS people are going to be giving away free AK47s with every purchase of a T-shirt that reads "WE KILL ALL AMERICANS".
I'm sure there will be mass killings the fallowing day that will not end until all infidel supporters are punished. The public at large around the world will blame Republicans for those deaths as well.

I don't think that it's the best idea to broadcast the projected date for troop withdrawal but I think that the current political climate is such that those in congress feel pressured to deliver a definitive date to the American public and hang the cost of letting the enemy know our next move.

I don't think withdrawing from Iraq is going to influence a terrorist attack the next day.

Announcing a withdrawal date isn't the same thing as surrender.

I heard the date was to be by January 2009.

I think announcing a withdrawal date is irresponsible. What would be the point, other than to inform our enemies??

Ha! Here come the insults! They just cant help it, can they?!

I would love to reply to your question. I would typically give a sarcastic/humorous answer to mock the stupidity of the subject. But for people to believe that broadcasting your surrender date to your enemy will result in lasting peace does not lend itself to humor of any kind.

That's ok, because it'll never make it passed the President's veto pen. . . . .even if, by some miracle, it gets passed in the Senate !!!
