Or are they just that deep?

they made a great comeback. im a tennessee fan and we can cry all we want about the officials (osu 35 free throws, ut 17....and a ticky tacky foul at the end with the game tied), but we have no one to blame but ourselves for blowing a 20 point lead, not to mention OSU just outplayed us in the second half.

i would say they got WAY luckier against xavier. osu is very deep and talented, but they are dancing with the devil and will go down next round or in the final four against GEORGETOWN........not unc).

There was some luck involved. But also, with this last game and the game before, did anyone notice how much the rest of the OSU team stepped up with Oden on the bench (he had 4 fouls last night)?

There must be some measure of deepness and experience rotating throughout that bench. Whether or not they can survive another close game of coming from a notable deficit (making it 3 in a row...) remains to be seen. But if they could do that, imagine how well they could play with a sizeable lead. As for OSU winning this year's tourney. Count them out. While it would be close, I don't feel they have what it takes to do it.

In both of the last two games OSU, was able to come back because the losing teams blew it. OSU has no depth, in fact when Tenn. went on that first half run, no. 20 and 45 wasn't even in the game. Oden is a fairly good player but, when comes to crunch time OSU can't survive without him. My personal opinion, they won't see the final four.

You can call it luck and you can call it skill. It all depends on how you look at it. From my point of view, I would say it was not luck. If you have the ability to come back from a 20 point deficit, without your star player (Oden played a season low 18 minutes) that isnt luck.

One important number down the stretch (as it always is in March) was free-throw shooting. The vols only shot 47% from the line which hurt them at the end. You cannot expect to win a tight game in the last minutes when you cannot hit your foul shots.

Both teams played really well and it did not look like either team was controlling the game while the other seemed panicked (in the second half atleast, OSU looked alittle scared when it was down in the first). They traded points back and forth in the last couple of minutes without either team breaking away. The buckeyes were just more resilient, hit their free throws and came out on top. Not to add the spectacular block by Oden at the end. Then again I doubt the kid was going to hit that off balance shot.

Not sure if luck played a factor but if it did, then both teams had it. That Tenn. 3 point shooting in the beginning was amazing...but does that mean it was luck?

I think OSU has alot of depth because Matta rotates them all pretty well to get them some time. Having said that, so many of them are young, you never know what you're going to get out of them from one game to the next.

Good luck Buckeyes!

I don't think you can luck into coming back from 20 points down i mean they dominated the second half from start to finish. If any luck went on in that game you would have to look at Tenn first half 3 point shooting it was unbelievable

they got lucky against Xavier, but not against Tennessee.

But the Luckeyes will lose in the Final Four to Georgetown who will lose to Florida for the championship.

Both. They're not as deep as UNC though, who, by the way is a much BETTER team than Georgetown and I can't wait till they prove me right.
