Has two meanings - the more correct one is that whatever is normal is in conformation with what most of the whatever they ares do. Normal here derives from the word "norm", meaning average, most represented among the population. A "normal" height for a man.

But people often use it to mean "nominal" which means "functioning as it should" so if a car is running normally, that is meant to say that it is functioning as designed and expected. People would say that too, even if most cars were broken, which would be technically incorrect. So, those two meanings.

In behavior, normal refers to a lack of significant deviation from the average. The phrase "not normal" is often applied in a negative sense (asserting that someone or some situation is improper, sick, etc.). Abnormality varies greatly in how pleasant or unpleasant this is for other people; somebody may half-jokingly be called "pleasantly disturbed".

Normal means you are just like everyone else.

Normal....my mom always taught me that normal is just a setting on a washing machine.

No one is normal. Even if you think someone is normal you never know what they do in their spare time/alone time that can make them abnormal in your mind. I agree with the one that said that normal is an opinion.

Normal in my opinion is what the majority of society accepts. The only problem is that society can be quite cruel because it is in our human nature to be self-destructive. To make an analogy lets compare normal to sanity. There is a fine line between genius and insanity---so show me some one that is completely sane and I want to talk to them. What is sane and/or normal?---Show me.

I imagine you mean what makes a person normal.
You treat others kindly, you take your responsibilities seriously and you do the best job you can no matter what you are doing.
And you NEVER think of harming anyone in weird, inventive, get even, horrific ways and there are no body parts hidden within a 20 mile radius of where you live let alone in your frig.

Normal is an ability, one that not everybody has. the ability to walk through a mall and not be noticed by nobody

the ability to sit down and not make it so easy to not strike up conversation with somebody you see.

i don't have that ability though i have the ability of originality. people see me, and know that i am abnormal and unique it's that way i prefer to see myself and how i want the world to see me. but to my kind thats pretty well... normal.
