I can only create data DVDs on my XP Media Center. How do I create a DVD for a movie?

I need to determine if my problem is the type of DVD that I am trying to use, or if I have a problem with the application. I am using DVD+R. When given the option of which kind of DVD to create, I am only given the option to create a data DVD.

What application are you using to create? You can use windows moviemaker if it is home-grown movie in wmf or avi format. If you are copying from a movie dvd, you need something more like DVD copy 123 to get around the copy protection. Go to http://www.videohelp.com for more help. FYI, DVD-R is the most compatible with DVD players. the +R is better for data DVD's.
