That's a hard one, I went through mad phases with both!! I'd have to say Madness as they were around longer, although Adam and the Ants were really different for the era.

If you were a Girly, or into dressing up, Adam and the Ants. Some of the vids were visually stuning and well choreographed, but he had serious issues!
For the boys out there, Madness. Lyrics fantastic, vids great. Sugsy a good personality too.

madness with out a doubt. i hear you ask why,well they are simply amazing live,& if you listen to virgin radio 2 till 4pm weekdays & 6 till 8pm friday & saturday you will see. Even as a dj suggs is pure genius.........this bunch of nutty boys really should be entered into the music hall of fame.
