You'll just have to check your state/county laws. But keep in mind, a monkey is no easy pet. They require hours of attention, and need to be closely watched. Don't just buy a monkey on impulse. Research, and if you're not a stay at homer, don't get one. It's not good for the animal.

I found one article about a guy getting a fine importing them, but I can't be sure it's totally illegal? I also can't find any ads for any for sale....

If u no shops selling them they must be legal. I think it would be federal laws pertaining to imported animals.
