The new HDTVs will normally have an RCA input for audio and video. You will need a video card in your computer which also has an RCA output.

If you have one, then simple run an RCA cable from the video card of the computer to the RCA video input of the TV. Then run a second cable from the headset or speaker output of your computer to the audio input of your TV.

You can surely connect your PC to your HDTV by using a adapter which converts your normal Display adapter output to a DVI outout through which you can connect for normal use .But for ultimate HD experince you should try a graphics card which is HDMI Compliant . Check out ATI & NVIDIA GPU's.
