Yes they do but the driver likes to be informed when you start the trip if you are paying with a credit card... not be surprised at the end of the trip

Yes. You always see all the credit card symbols on the window of the back seat. They use to do it old school, taking an imprint. But I think the technology is more modern. Yes you would have to sign and get a copy. And a sales receipt if you want. I am not quite sure as I have never bothered to pay by credit card.

Yes, they accept Visa, Mastercard and some even American Express and others. If there are no credit card symbols on the cab ask the cabbie if he accepts the credit card you have (ex. Amex) and if he doesn't then the next cab company should. And, yes, they will have a transaction record for you to sign and you will get a copy. Some use a manual machine, while others have a more up to date digital swipe machine.

Credit cards in taxis work just the same as credit cards in any store. They have a portable unit that relays charges to their head office. You will get a receipt to sign.
