Apart from flights...
The longest wait I've had since 2006 was waiting to see a doctor and then get an X-Ray at a hospital...

I went on a job interview where my resume stated exactly what I could do. The Company was run by several PH D's. Even though from the first conversation I had I knew I wasn't qualified and expressed it to my interviewer. They kept me there 5 hours so that I could listen to each PHD. Surprise I did not get the job and not even a sorry letter. On leaving the only Non-PHD there said I should feel lucky the Last guy was there 9 hours.

I was going to get a breast reduction and I was waiting on the insurance company to decide if they would pay for it. It took 3 months to make the decision! Then when I scheduled the surgery, I had to wait almost 3 more months!
Well worth the wait, though!

I am still waiting for some things. I waited in a doctors office once for 4 hours. Not a pretty picture.

Life itself; I'm waiting to finally meet that one true love and I'm also waiting to get into heaven. I have a feeling that both of those will happen at the same time, which makes the wait that much harder...

Ten hours waiting for my plane to Maui to be fixed. I sat at the San Francisco air port for actually 12 hours, because I was there 2 hours before my flight was scheduled to depart. It wasn't that bad though, I read and met some interesting people.

I had to wait a year and a half to marry my husband. I was living in Austria at the time. Long distance relationships suck.

my x went to another country for 6 weeks - it was a LONG wait - it felt like forever at the time.
