I forget EVERY Friday however, I have not had meat today and we are going to a fish fry tonight!
It's just coincidence though!

Just eating a tuna sandwich on Friday in lent does not make you a good Catholic.
I am Catholic & it goes a lot farther than that.

I never seem to remember that it's Friday. Must be some sort of sickness or something, when you think that EVERY day is a workday! No burger... but congrats to you good Catholic girl, did you know that our Pope is now condoning condoms???? Will fish Fridays be next to go?

I remembered it was Friday & remembered the whole no-meat rule but I'd still ignore it & have meat anyways. I don't claim to be catholic anymore. I haven't eaten anything that's really meat today (except for a piece of lunch meat that i doubt is REAL ham anyways) but it wasn't on purpose. Leftover cheese tortellini & cream of celery soup is just what I happened to pick to eat today cause it sounded good.
Btw, I agree w/ Mike Honcho. When we eat fish it's technically still meat....whether it's chicken or a piece of fish, what we're eating is technically their muscles or whatever.

What was on Friday? Most Catholics don't respect those silly holiday traditions. Catholics are the most wealthy religion in the world. They can make up their own rules.

I still don't understand why Catholics have to eat fish on Friday. No one in the Bible ate fish on Friday, lol.

I am Catholic, but I do not abstain from meat on Friday.
Not eating meat is not a "penance" for me because I prefer seafood.

I totally forgot, so thanks for reminding me. What I don't get though, is how Fish isn't considered to be Meat. It's just Fish Meat. Is a Fish not an Animal?
