Yes, definately. Walking them provides socialising with people, exercise and just like us human beings, taking a breather. Would you like being cropped up at home all day?

Not only should dogs be walked, but they should have a disciplined walk. Your dog should be in the heel position, meaning at your side, not pulling, not choking itself to death etc...
Dogs are pack animals, they do not hang around the den all day, they work together, through a chain of command, to find food and secure their territory. The top dog ( which in our society is always the human ) dictates just about every action and behavior in the pack, you will never see a submissive dog ahead of the leader.
Essentially if you don't walk your dog, never mind for exercise, going to the bathroom ( also you shouldn't allow your dog to pee on every tree, pole etc.. ) and mental stimulation, you can expect to live through ever worsening behavior problems. Sadly this is how so many dogs wind up in the pound, and euthanized.

What would your guess be?? It's very obvious if you have ever been out on the street, people walking their dogs would give good indication that dogs should be walked..
Of course they should, they need the exercise, it helps to reinforce obedience, and is a good bond building activity.

Absolutely! Besides being great exercise for them, it helps with socialization, and helps to keep their nails trim. If a dog is just confined to the yard or house, they don't get nearly enough excercise, and could get easily bored. Dogs love to go for walks, whether it's short or long.

Yes, they need the exercise and stimulation, as well as the opportunity to relieve themselves. Without this, they will become aggressive and destructive through boredom.

It helps release their energy, keeps them healthy, and it also keeps their nails short.
