The good news is: If you report him to the IRS, they will actually pay you a reward. The bad news is: They will calculate your back taxes, plus penalties, and don't forget interest, and deduct it from your reward.

Physical threats may work but he'll have the last laugh when he has you arrested for assault! So I would anonymously report him to the better business bureau and the IRS cause he is supposed to pay taxes on the income your paid and because he is by law supposed to claim you on any workers insurance that he employs. Then hes not a very good business person and carma will get him. If none of this is tempting blow up something!

There isn't anything you can do to get your cash.. well, I take that back;
One thing you can do is threaten to turn him in for paying under the table. Especially if he dosen't give 10-99's at the end of the year.

Not much. If you are not paying taxes, then there is no way you can go to the labor board with the problem. I guess your just out of luck, unless you want to hold a gun to his head.

I wish someone would make a payment to me under the table. That sounds kind of kinky on your part. You must be naughty.

You're pretty much screwed if it was under the table.

One of the joys of not being legit I am afraid - You have no rights with this - you cannot prove anything, no Lawyers/Courts will support you - after all, you have not been paying any tax - Tough sh*t, unfortunately.

Well, when you go the illegal route of getting paid "under the table", then you shouldn't expect any avenue of recourse when the deal goes sour.

The risk of doing anything illegally is that you can lose. Play by the rules and you would have a recourse.
Good luck
