Has this hole got a special function in dancing?

Actually, the hole in convertible tights should be under your foot, not at your toe. But you would know that they are convertible tights because it says so on the package.

Convertible tights are very handy for students who take both ballet and modern classes and don't have time to change. They are also useful for ballet dancers to be able to have quick access to bleeding sores on their feet.

Tights With Holes

Yeah convertible tights. More comfortable that the old stirrup tights that cut into the sole of the foot. The "hole" is actually at the bottom or sole of the foot. For it to be at the toe means that the leg is twisted or many you have the tights on backwards?

Convertable tights. The sole stops at the balls of your feet, not the toe. The hole is so they can be worn over the foot or toeless, stop at the heel or ankle.

that was a cute question :) the hole is there in case the dancer wants or needs the tight to go footless. maybe perhaps for a modern piece or perhaps even for stretching, then when you need your shoes on just flip the tight back over your toesies!

its supposed to be worn on the bottom on your foot no the toe. They have holes so that pointe dancers can easly pull up their tights so they can adjust their toe pads or tend to blisters or bleeding on their toes.
