Should the untimely and apparently violent death of bob Woolmer mean that the ICC Cricket World Cup should be abandoned?

No - absolutely not. Bob Woolmer devoted his life to cricket and the last thing he would want is for this tournament to be cancelled.

I think that it is right for the World Cup to continue. It's a terrible tragedy that someone gets murdered over sport, but in the long run, cricket will benefit from continuing with the tournament. Hopefully Bob's death will not be in vain as I am sure that the authorities will clamp down on match fixing / gambling, which I believe was the reason behind the murder.

Yes - if only as a mark of respect, but to be honest I know precious little about the cricket world cup other than what's been on the news so I'm not sure if this would have been a practical solution.
