I'm moving to japan within a few months and was wondering if anyone has every been to Aoyama. thats the area I want to stay at but I cant find much on it. Its closeby to Tokyo, so if anyone knows about it, or has been there, or even lived there, that would be awsome. I'm going to be attending Aoyama Gakuin University so its ideal. Thanks!

I used to work in Aoyama for 4 years. Believe me, it is not a place to live. Aoyama is now one of the most expensive areas in Japan. Unless your rent is budgeted by your company, stay away from the area when it comes to a place to live. Otherwise, it is a nice to lace to visit with many nice restaurants and stores to sell cool stuff.

Where your University, Aoyama Gakuin is situated is not a Residential area it is commercial area and costly. The nearest place which everyone knows about is called Shibuya.
Your University is good. Aoyama Gakuin is in Tokyo.

If you want to join Aoyama Gakuin and for that you want to stay in Aoyama then you are advised do not do that. That will be costly. Better ask your University to find some place. Often Universities offer dormitories. I am giving you a link in English.

There are many humans in lots of international locations now not simply Japan or the US that might like to transport overseas to look and enjoy how it's international. I recognize the Japanese humans traveling the US benefit from the huge open expanses of the American western frontier. I recognize many Japanese scholars who might love to research within the US vs. Japan due to the fact they are able to specific their brain bigger within the US then in a Japanese university environment (their phrases now not mine). So it will depend on who you run into, a few sure, a few do not, a few by no means notion approximately it.
