To Arctic Circle in Alaska through Dalton Hwy last August.

We started from Anchorage, AK - Danali N.P. - Fairbank, AK - Arctic Circle - Fairbank,AK - Seward, AK - Anchorage, AK.

It was a 11 days, 2000 mile road trip. We saw the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), three black bears, Trans Alaska Pipeline, and the Yukon river. Truly awesome, indeed.

This may or may not exclude me from your question, but as an over the road trucker I once traveled from Corpus Cristi Texas to Anchorage Alaska, total miles = 2,669 and the trip took 7 days to complete with 3 additional pick-ups along the way. The trip was quite pleasant, beautiful scenery, road conditions were fair, and the weather was surprisingly good all the way, but the only part that I didn't like was the 6 day layover in Anchorage while waiting for a return load back to Texas...

We drove from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Clearwater, Florida with two cats, a dog, a Norfolk Island pine tree (it was a birthday present!) in a Dodge panel van full of books, art supplies, clothes and kitchen utensils (and a kitty litter box).
We went to the source of the Mississippi River (in Minnesota) and zigged and zagged along the river until St. Louis, Missouri, then cut over into Kentucky and the Carolinas, down through Georgia to Florida along U.S. 1.
We stayed in places like the Dew Drop Inn where, at midnight (and every two hours after), a freight train down in the gully only several hundred yards behind our bungalow shook the entire cabin and scared the cats (and us, the first time!) into next year.
I have no idea how many miles it was -- maybe 1,500??? We deliberately took our time because we figured we probably wouldn't ever have the time or opportunity to see that part of America in that way again. It was a gas! (Although I think the cats only tolerated it. The dog had a great time!)

When I was about 3 my parents took me on a road trip in a combi around Australia. Was too young to remember much unfortunately, but since have driven across Australia from west to east and back. A loooooong drive! Across a desert with a really long straight road - a lot of red dust and not much else!

Perth to Sydney. I did the trip six times and it either took 2 days and three nights or 3 days and 2 nights, just stopping for fuel and changing drivers in the car. (There were also the mandatory pit stops when we couldn't make it to the next meal stop while maintaining our dignity,)
