I've had an idea to write a book, or a series of books depending, and i want to know who will fund my operation or if i would have to fund it myself.

I would need funding for travel (plane tickets), somewhere to stay and food. All the rest, photography etc, i have covered.

o_<

thanks

If you're a first-time author, there's no one that will fund it. Unless you locate some fine arts grants and win one of those, but in order to win one, you have to prove you're a true writer and follow all the guidelines for consideration.

Since you're in the UK, I not sure where you'd find Fine Arts Grants. Do you have the equivalent of Writer's Market there? That'll list agents, publishers, contests and Fine Arts Grants.

Good luck.

Gee. It depends on what kind of book you are writing and do you have a history as a writer. If it is fiction, just write it and then shop it to agents. Non-fiction requires more research and photos. You need to have a well written plan for that. What you want to write or investigate. Where you will have to travel, the length of stay, and schedule interviews. Some can be done here, but mostly abroad. So you will have to come up with a plan and shop it too. The difference being is they will absolutely want to see other items you have written and if something should come up, you will be financially liable to repay them.

You cannot get investment simply seeing that you think like writing a publication. Why do you want investment to write down a publication? Just write. When you may have completed or are nearly completed, promote it to a writer. You can uncover understanding on publishers in Writer's Market, both on-line or in publication variety. From the appears of it, you may also ought to pay an editor to repair your writing.

Get a grant-writer to write a grant application for you. Of course, if it's a bodice ripper with fabio on the cover, you can pretty well forget that route.

If you want your book to be published professionally, then usually the agency that would publish you would probably pay for a bunch of your expenses, especially traveling and hotels, etc. If you don't get professional published, then i have no clue.
