I had a member email me telling me that the person that answered gave me the wrong answer. I replied nicely by saying that although part of the answer was wrong, another part of it helped me w/ my question more so than any of the other answers. Was I wrong? I thought I am supposed to pick the most helpful answer for me.

You have a good point...but I have actually done what they did to you, but for a good purpose. It was in the health section and somebody picked an answer that was going to hurt them and I felt it was my duty as a med student to stop them from hurting themselves with an answer that was very dangerous.
Natural home remedies can often hurt someone by just ignoring the problem and letting it develop into something more serious. I had other people agree with me when I made the statement. But for other general questions, when a person picks an answer that I don't agree with...I keep my mouth shut because its what the asker was looking for, otherwise, if it they pick one that is harmful advice, it is my duty to address it. Hope this kind of gives you another point of view, but I do agree with you on your own instance. It is your discretion and right to pick who you want. Some people just get mad if they are not picked.

whichever answer the asker picks, is the right answer, because it fulfills the purpose of the question, asked by the asker....
The same question, asked by a different asker, might warrant a different best answer, as the differences in each asker are the same as the differences in each individual human being.

(It took me about two weeks to figure out that *Asker* meant the person asking the question....I really thought there was some weird person with the nickname *Asker* who was choosing my answers as the Best............I'm such a ditz;)
