I have a Game Boy Color, one of the older gameboys. My favorite game is Pokemon Blue Version, lol. Anyways, I won the badge in that one city where you win the ability to use "Cut" whenever you want to cut down those little bushes that are in your way. The only problem is, I can't figure out how you use cut. If I go to Items or whatever, it's not there. Can anyone tell me how you use the "Cut" ability?

Are u sure u got "cut" ? i mean, did u get it from the old man on the ship? If u did, and u made a pokemon learn it, then u go up to a cut-able tree and do to the "pokemon" portion of it, and then clik on pokemon with "cut" and click on "cut", it shuld cut down tree.
P.S. I was stuk on that part so long, my squirtle turned into a blastoise, and all my pokemon were fully evolved by the time i realized i had to get cut from the old man.

Make sure you've acquired Cut from the S.S. Anne. Just pressing the A button in front of a tree does not work, unless you're playing a GBA game. In Pokemon Red/Blue, however, you have to press Start, select the Pokemon that knows Cut, and select Cut. The small tree should be gone. Another issue may be: do you have the Cascade Badge (from Misty, water gym)? You need that to use Cut.

If memory serves me well, you simply go up to the little bush and click the "A" button. Then it will ask you if you want to cut the bush down. Click yes, and the Pokemon with the ability Cut will cut the bush down. Remember, you have to give one of your pokemon that move, and that pokemon has to one of the six you are carrying at that time.

how about this
try pressing the (a) button the cut move should be above the phrase that says summary!
press (a) on the pokemon that leared the move cut and you should see the move cut on the top of the screen move up to the cut sign and press a over the cut sign!
stand on front of the tree that you want to cut then you cut the tree!

Cut is an HM - this means that it can be reused. There should be an item that is called HM1 and then put it on a pokemon that allows it to use it. then click on that pokemon and press cut!

you have to look at it from the menu, teach it to a pokemon who can learn it, walk up to a tree, go to the menu, look at your team, and click on the pokemon that you taught cut to, and activate cut from there. on the later games, you can just examine the tree and cut it down.
