The question is What do you want to do? Most ppl would want to get a paternity test a.s.a.p. and go from there. If you want to get involved just remember 15yrs has past and nothing can make up that time. So start with 2day.Also remember it's not your fault, you should of been told about it 15yrs ago.

You aren't legally required to do anything. If you want nothing to do with a child, all you need to do is close the door. You aren't required to get to know her or even to acknowledge her as your daughter.

The mother may try to get some support from you. At that time, I would get a DNA test, and consult with a lawyer. If you have to pay, it would only be for a few years. If she's 15 like you said, you would only have to pay until she's 18. If the mother hasn't tried to get money by now, you're probably safe. Again, even if you did have to pay, all you are legally required to do is send a check. You don't have to meet her, get to know her or have any contact whatsoever with her. You do not have to be this girl's dad if you don't want to (even if you are the biological father).

First you be as friendly and polite as possible. Second, get a DNA test. Third, do the right thing if you ARE the father. But I would also ask the mother why she waited until now to spring this on you. You just missed out on 15 years of being a father to your daughter. I think THAT deserves an explanation.

find out if shes really your daughter. if you think she is just be calm about it, invite her in and discuss the situation like adults, she'll appreciate your honesty and maturity. tell her you didnt know bout her or why you chose not to be apart of her life if you did know. dont be callous. if you do want to be part of her life now then tell her . the fact that u ask this question on here tells me you do care and you would possibly want a relationship with your daughter. so i hope this helps and good luck with your child. for all that she is fifteen she is still an insecure child and needs a fathers love and support.

Call a lawyer and get some DNA tests done to confirm. Looks like you will have to confess your affair also.

You tell her you just have to protect your best interest and you want a paternity test to make sure that she is your child, Then you take it from there.

Talk too her and see if she wants to have the complete father daughter relationship, or does she just want to let you know she is your daughter. Work on building the relationship slowly, and taking it step by step

DNA testing. If she is your daughter, then obviously she tried to find you because she wanted to get to know you. I'm assuming the mother never told you there was a child? Really crummy thing for her to do!

Get a DNA test, she should have a chance to know who her father is and you have a right to know if you have a daughter.
