i just purchased a above ground pool my husband wants to pour some concrete to suport the weight of the water a friend told me to use bricks and sand. i have no idea what i am doing? dose some one out there know what is the best way to do this? If so could you please help and walk me through it. I want to give my kids the joy of our new pool and do not have the smarts to do it alone could some one help.

Our pool installer used screeting with sand on top of it. Depends on what kind of pool you are talking about...we had a soft side pool at one time that we just used sand to level out an area for the pool.

If you have a Lowes, or Home Depot near you, for $10-15 you can purchase a how to book on pouring small or large cement pads. Cement is the best option, although not the cheapest. If you use brick or sand, it will be very hard to get and keep your pool level. Pouring concrete is a tad labor intensive, but with the proper manual it can be quite easy. You can rent all the tools you need from your local concrete provider.

my brother-in-law installed his 24x16 pool by scraping off the sod and leveling the area. he then then put a 4 or 5in layer of sand to protect the liner. no concrete , no brick, and has not had any problems. we live in an area with very harsh winters and its still ok. if this post isnt right , im sure ill hear about it...
