Because by using a stereotype insult to describe one group makes you just as bad. If you don't want people to judge others because of one characteristic, why are you doing it. I don't think it's ok to be racist, but you're not helping by generating the same kind of insulting comments. According to your logic, then all racists are inbred. I know for a fact that's not true. Anyway, not everyone was raised in a cosmopolitan environment. Some may seem "racist" simply because they aren't up on the latest lingo, or they don't have many experiences with different kinds of people.
The real racists are probably undetectable to you.

This is faulty reasoning. Not all racist are inbred, and not all inbreds are racist. When joking, yes, one should be able to "take it" as well as "dish it out". But racist don't make their remarks to be humorous.
