Any advice on how to make a BABY Girl???

I've already have two beautiful sons but really really need an advice on how to make a baby girl. My family will be complete with a baby girl. I'm getting old and it looks like this might be my last chance so I need to be very prepare.

well, I've heard that woman on top (less penetration) is better at making a girl baby.
It might be old wives tales .. but its worth a shot! Also there is the Shettles Method (below) ..

The Shettles Method is based on the fact that the Y chromosome bearing sperm ( boy sperm ) are smaller and less robust but move faster than the larger X chromosome bearing sperm ( girl sperm ).

So based on this fact, the Shettle Method recommends the following to help you conceive a girl.

How to Conceive a Girl ---

Determining the Time of Ovulation:

Determining when you ovulate is vital when you are learning how to conceive a girl. Shettles recommends that you have sex 2 1/2 to 3 days BEFORE ovulation in order to increase your chances of conceiving a girl. Having sex closer to ovulation will dramatically decrease your chances of conceiving a girl. The timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation is a vital factor in increasing your chances of having a girl.

Shettles suggests three specific ways in which to do this.

1) Charting Cervical Mucus
Dr Shettes goes into full detail on how to chart your cervical mucus in Part Three of his book, How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby. You can download a blank CM chart in two different formats: PDF or Excel Spreadsheet.
With this method of determining when you ovulate, you access your cervical mucus on a daily basis. Right before you ovulate, your cervical mucus should be very watery and very elastic. It's consistency should be that of raw egg white. Charting for more than a month before you attempt to conceive a girl is recommended so you can be CERTAIN that you are ovulating on a specific day.

2) Basal Body Temperature (BBT) Charting
Shettles also suggests that you use BBT charting a long with charting your cervical mucus in order to gain as much information in order to pinpoint when exactly you are ovulating. He goes into full detail on how to accurately chart your BBT in Part Three of his book. You can download a blank BBT chart in two different formats: PDF or Excel Spreadsheet. This chart also includes an area to record your Cervical Mucus assessments.
In order to chart your basal body temperature ( BBT ) you will need to purchase a basal thermometer. Before you get up each morning, you will take your temperature before you do ANYTHING. Any activity can lead to innacurate temperature readings. At the time of ovulation, you will see a spike in your temperature which will indicate that you have already ovulated. Considering that you need to have sex 2 to 3 days away from ovulation in order to increase your chances of having a girl, you will need to chart at least two months before you can make good use of the information that your charting reveals.

You can also use a computer program to track your basal body tempertures as well as your cervical mucus. The software provides much valuable information that will help you pin point the time of ovulation and lets you track your whole cycle in an easy to use and understandable format. 3) Using Ovulation Predictor Kits
The final way Shettles recommends for finding out the exact time you are ovulating is by using ovulation predictor kits. These kits detect when your body has released LH (Luteinizing Hormone), a precursor to ovulation. Dr. Shettles suggests testing twice a day in to make sure you catch the surge as early as possible. He recommends testing once between 11am and 3 pm and then again between 5pm and 10pm. When all factors are considered, ovulation will most likely occur about 24 hours after the time when you get a positive result for the lh surge on your ovulation predictor kit. Dr. Shettles offers indepth explanations on how to interpret the ovulation predictor kits in his book so be sure to read all the information he provides.

A one month supply of ovulation predictor tests are located below for your convenience. You will be able to test twice a day as recommended by Dr. Shettles. The difference between the two products is that one is in a test strip format and the other is in the typical midstream plastic casing format.

Frequency and Timing of Intercourse:

Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a girl, you should have sex everyday from the end of your period up to 2 1/2 to 3 days before ovulation. After this point, do not have unprotected sex until several days past ovulation.

Intercourse further away from ovulation favors the larger slower moving X (girl) sperm. The weaker Y (boy) sperm will die more quickly in the more acidic preovulatory vaginal / cervical secretions and by the time of ovulation there will be a much larger concentration of X (girl) sperm available to fertilize the egg.

Sexual Position:

Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a girl, shallow penetration from your partner, preferably with the missionary position, will deposit the sperm closer to the entrance to the vagina. This area is more acidic than closer to the cervix and acidity will work against the weaker "boy" sperm leaving more "girl" sperm available to fertilize your egg.

Sex and Orgasms:

When trying to conceive a girl, Shettles recommends that you don't orgasm during sex as the body produces substances after orgasm that makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy" sperm.

The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and into the cervix, giving the "boy" sperm an extra chance at being available when your egg is available for fertilization.

The whole problem with that is the male sperm is what carries the boy/girl gene, it's a gamble really. Unless you get invitro where they may be able to establish which sperm in particular would give you your desired results but again I'm certain there are some discrepencies where they aren't able to guarantee results. Within your husband's (I assume) family are there many girls?? Understand that genetics plays a very large role, so if his family only has a couple of girls or none at all your chances may not be so good. I don't want to rain on your wishes though...you may certainly get a surprise the next time around and end up with a baby princess!

Well, I have two boys and 37 weeks preg with my third boy!!! Of course we wanted a girl which is the only reason we decided to have another baby. However it didn't work out that way. I am very happy either way, I love my boys tremendously and couldn't imagine life any other way. But my doc told me about a study that has been ongoing for a while now about gender selection (naturally ) actually I see that someone has mentioned the general idea prior to my answer. But heres how it works... Male sperm are quicker swimmers but die off quicker than the female sperm. So therefore my doc says that a woman should get an ovulation kit, or whatever they are called, and track ovulation, he says to have sex a couple days prior to ovulation and your chances of having a girl are better, however the study has only suggested a 70% chance of girl. Which is not high enough for me to try for a fourth time!!! We are done having babies. My doc suggested this method after we already concieved our third. I hope this helped. From what I understand the male sperm die off quicker but swim faster, so if you time intercourse close to ovulation they will swim up there quickly and fertilize the egg before the female sperm can get there. (With my son we were doing basal body temperatures and I know the day I ovulated. It was the only day that week we had intercourse- and voila he was a boy!)
For a girl, you are supposed to time intercourse a few times, a couple of days BEFORE you ovulate, to give the boys time to die off before the egg is released from the ovary, and the girls time to get up there.

It's not an exact science though, :) so if you're gonna try for #3 be prepared for either sex, this is just what I know about those little spermies.

There is no way (naturally) to select the gender of your children. Trust me on this, I currently have 3 girls and another girl due on Monday :) We'd LOOOOOVE to have a boy. The only way to have a chance at selecting the sex would be to have your eggs and his sperm combined at a fertilization clinic and choose only to implant the female zygotes. Of course there is no 100% guarantee with this method either. Sorry :(

they say to "do it" a few days before ovulation to get a girl. see the girl sperm travels slower than the male sperm but it lives longer than the male sperm does. do have sex a few days b4 ovulation, all the male sperms die and 2 days later the female sperms will still be swimming around when the egg comes and fertilize it. i haven't tried this, i was blessed with a boy and a girl but i read that it works. just google gender prediction

I've heard that Chineese calander work for a lot of people... although I'm due in 1.5 weeks and my chart says i'm having a boy, but the ultrisound says girl... so you can't ever bank on these myths... although I have some friends who swear by them!

I've heard to get a girl is for the women to be on top. But who knows. You can always go for invitro to have a girl. Best of luck to you :)

The only way to guarantee is genetic selection. Get invitro and have them emplant a female embryo.

I know, for a girl you have to try after your ovulation but not during it.
And you can try this one as well. My friend has a girl after 2 boys by following this calendar.
