well I read a story once that the New Romantics beat up the Punks when they tried gate-crashing a club in Soho where Boy George worked as a cloakroom attendant.
Music wise...well, The Sex Pistols and Clash rock. However, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet...the list is endless. So New Romantic would be prefential

I love the energy and rawness of Punk. I admire the full throttle, dive in headfirst, no holds barred musical approach that brings with it a kind of liberation for those who play it and those who listen to it; a kind of freedom - no pretence, nothing is 'wrong'. But I also love the pastille shades and open blousen shirts of the New Romantic so I guess it about evens out.
