Resident Evil 4 help?

Question

How do I kill those things that have the spikes coming outta them? I am in the labratory or w/e. They are the things the regenerate fast. But this one has spikes that shoot out every few seconds. HELP!

If you do not already have the infrared scope for the sniper rifle, if not, use the shotgun and blast in its legs to knock it on the ground. It should be crawling on its stomach, careful, because it will jump far and right at you and will latch on big time and bite you bringing you down to low health. After on its back, blast away with the shotgun shooting in the middle of its back and hope the blast radius kills the parasite. I forget if it shows the parasite or not, I am thinking it does, but to completely kill it you need to shoot the legs and the back once it falls on its stomach. If it doesn't die, after you shoot its back, unload in its stomach and chest a lot as well. Once you get the infrared you will be able to see the internal parasites that are in its body, and all you do is hit the, usually four, parasites, and there will be one on its back you will see after you shoot his legs off with the shotgun. You will need the automatic sniper rifle for this and not the bolt action rifle.

as i am sure the others have said, if you have not gotten the scope, then get it. attch the scope to the sniper rifle and shoot the red-leech like things on the iron maiden's [regenerator w/ spikes] body. after you do that, pull out ur shot gun and just kep blasting the thing until it explodes. now, to advoid the spikes, just stay at a far away distance, and later on, u'll be fighting more of them when u have Ashley with you so make sure you have her out of the way. hope this helps! ^^

i believe the 1st and 2nd regenarator you run into you wont have the thermal scope,and i find it best to skip them,at first,so you never have to waste alot of ammo on them,like other posters might tell you,if you have a grenade of some sort,i suggest tossing one at them,and when they are stunned,run past them,and to the other way where you were at the fork,to get into the freezer so you can get the thermal scope,then go back to kill the regenarators.

my 1st mistake on the 1st playing thru the game,was wasting all my ammo on those things,cause i choosed not to read some online guide,and figure out myself

you can kill them without the scope,its just easier when you have it cause you will be able to see the parasite locations on the body,most of the time they are in the same spot,but if its your 1st time going thru,take my stun and run suggestion to rush for the scope.

so remember go left(not the side with the fence door)the other side,which leads into that autopsy room or however you spell it,to get the keycard,stun and run the regenarators you run into,to go to the other path,go inside the freezer,get the scope,kill the regenarator inside the room,change the keycard type,kill the regenaraotrs you had to run past,then go back to proceed the the waste section.

if u have the infrared scope, use it to blow all the plagas off its body and then use 2 granades to finish it off... if not just shoot it with whatever you got and hope you dont die....
