I am traveling to Florida in June and I want to know if there are any grocery stores near Downtown Disney or The Port Orleans Riverside Resort.

There is a Publix, Winn-dixie and a Super Walmart not far from the resorts. Goodings is the closest grocery store, across from Downtown Disney at Crossroads, but you are going to pay top price for your groceries there. Very expensive. There is also a Hess Express across from Downtown Disney, not sure what you're looking to buy, but it should have the basics.

You can also try a grocery delivery service, they will bring groceries right to your resort. Check out gardengrocer.com. They charge $12 for delivery but it is worth it, considering the cost of food at Disney. If you spend more than $200, then delivery is free.

Disney does not actually have a grocery store, but they do offer some breakfast type items in their stores and even in some of their food courts. The value resort food courts tend to be the best when it comes to getting snacks and stuff like this, unless you are wanting something besides breakfast, in which case there are some better options. You could also get the refillable mugs and get coffee, soda and things like that (not sure if you will have a fridge for juice and things). The mugs are a good value, and would prevent you from having to buy drinks. You can also shop in the stores where they have snacks and things like that.

There are a few grocery or convenient stores that you could walk to from Downtown Disney, but the walk is kind of long and isn't always safe, so I don't know if that is something I would suggest. But, here are two other suggestions to consider. First would be to do a private towncar transfer. A lot of the companies in the area will give you a 30 minute grocery stop so you can run in and pick a few things for breakfast, or snacks. The company I use is really great and goes to the grocery store they shop at, that way you can avoid paying the higher prices that some of the stores have because of their location. You could also just pack some breakfast items in your suitcase. Things like pop tarts, granola bars, cereal, etc. are all easy to pack and you can get them right at home and then you won't have to spend any time buying groceries. You could also use one of the grocery delivery companies in Orlando, though you may spend a little more to have it delivered and everything. There are several companies, but the one I have heard the best reviews of is Garden Grocer.

I hope this helps.

You should be able to pick up just about any item you need at your resort.
