And now her work has the download site blocked. Plus they have all the online messenger sites blocked. Any suggestions on working around this so we can get it back on her computer? We even tried installing trillian and she can't get it to connect through it. :( I'm open for any suggestions!

One workaround is easy - she finds another job. Because is she finds a way to circumvent her employer's computer security policy, she'll probably be fired. If her security breach leads to an infection of their machines or a loss of data, they could even file criminal charges if they choose to do so.

If Yahoo Messenger is that important to her, she should find someplace that allows it instead of becoming a risk to her workplace. The company will spend a lot of money and employees will spend a lot of time cleaning up the security mess she's likely to create.

you can download it and email it to her or have her bring it in to work on a thumbdrive. The easiest thing to do is find a chat site or messenger that isn't blocked. or maybe try out all of the accounts that trillian uses. In most cases things get blocked if they are popular, so find something new.

If it's just the download sites that are blocked and the company can't figure out how to block use of the messenger itself, then you should be able to download an offline installer on another computer and transfer it with a disk.
