Some European women insist that a single glass of wine per day will do no harm, and, in their own cases, they were right. However, there is no definite medical evidence going either way. Personally, I'd lay off the wine until you can ask your doctor.

Bad bad bad!! There are some doctors who say it's ok to drink small amounts while pregnant, but studies show that there is no known amount of alcohol that is safe while pregnant! In some women a single glass of an alcoholic beverage can cause fetal alcohol syndrome, while some women can drink their entire pregnancies and be fine. Is it really worth the risk???

Try www.aap.org for more information on all the health risks of drinking during pregnancy. If that doesn't stop you, nothing will

I have four children and while I was pregnant with each one of them I had a glass of wine here and there but not everyday. That is bad. Wine is good for you as long as its just one glass two if you arent pregnant. My children were all very happy and healthy babies.

Why do people think they can't go nine months without drinking?? Are you physically unable to go that long without wine, because you shouldn't drink at all when you are pregnant. Sometimes we do have to make sacrifices for the better good and this is one of those times. Your baby will thank you for it!

In the US pregnant women are told that NO amount of alcohol (no matter how small) is safe while pregnant. However, my MIL is from Europe and she said in certain countries over there, women continue to drink wine all through their pregnancies (not in excess mind you, but a glass now and then)

Personally, I feel like...why take the chance? I can think of other ways to relax, a nice bath or a back rub from hubby (lol) or putting my feet up with a good book.

I would really take this question to your Doctor.

I think one a day is pushing it a little but then again, Americans are a little more conservative than other cultures when it comes to this subject. I allow myself one a week with food and water and it lasts me about 2 hours. There is a lot of controversy on this issue and I say make your own judgment call and do some research. My doc advised me that one small glass a week was fine but there are plenty of docs that advise against it. I am not sure this is the place to ask because the majority of answers you get are going to blast you for even considering it. Good luck.

Never. No, thats not true but still why would you want to? Dont you want the absoulte best for your child? In my opinion that child is connected to you so by drinking a glass a day thats like giving your unborn child a glass a day. Would you give him/her a glass a day once there born? I hope not.

This is a question that can not be answered with a simple yes or no. Check with your doctor about this type of thing before you start. If you have gestational diabetes or other health factors to be concerned about your doctors are the best person to ask.
