funny how we asked our questions so close to one another lol... anyway.. I agree.. even if we stabilize Iraq it won't win the fight against terrorism.. no war can ever win that fight.. it's a fight of dogma and beliefs.. not bombs.

Spin. I'm not neo-con, but I am a thinker. We went after Saddam which intelligence said was to be housing WMD's. So you have 2 choices. You can either believe that all major intelligence agencies were wrong, or that Saddam was smart enough and had enough friends in the area to store them. What we have done in taking Saddam out is stir up the ant-hill. No one is saying that this is the end of terrorism. Sure the smart ones have left the country. Al Sadr has fled to Iran. You are forgetting in all te spin you create, that our goal at the beginning of this war was Saddam, not to fight an insurgency. What's the other reason? Please say it is oil. i say that as I hear the motors of my hard drive spin and know that the are properly lubricated with oil. Who has more oil, Saudi Arabia, or Iraq. Why if he had a different agenda for this war would he not have taken out Saudi Arabia instead?

because of the fact US terrorism maintains with youthful inadequately knowledgeable troops in Iraq and the U. S. refuses to flow away because of the fact there is oil to be liberated and shipped to refineries in California. the U. S. has bombed civilian targets in Faluja and a large style of alternative cities in Iraq. the U. S. tortures prisoners extracting fake confessions and fake accusations. The troops then hurricane residences finding for nonexistent terrorists and imprisons human beings consistent with very limited and suspect data. There are bombings in retaliation, yet a large style of the terrorism is initiated via the U. S. against the civilian inhabitants. the U. S. maintains to dam maximum imports and there's a scarcity of unpolluted ingesting water, nutrition, and scientific care. Sewage is in open swimming pools contributing to the sickness. 1000's of 1000's of human beings have been compelled to flow and a few have insufficient take care of. the U. S. is looked as though it would be the biggest terrorist of the international. the U. S. media has been the main useful propaganda gadget ever created. regrettably, maximum human beings nevertheless have faith mass media and use the media to validate subjects of dialogue.

You can never eliminate terrorism but you can fight to curtail it some what. Why do we fight the drug war. It can never be won but you sure do put a damper on it. Why do we have police to help eliminate and fight crime, but you will never eliminate it. If we do not at least try and fight the terrorist, what then. Just let them do what ever they want and never do a thing. We have to take the fight to the to help curtail it some.

Saddam was able to eliminate sectarian violence and terrorism in Iraq by ruthlessly oppressing the populace. The US will be able to eliminate it only by using the same methods. Fortunately, our oppression will be well-intentioned.

Most who have bought that argument haven't thought that far ahead. They just blindly accepted Bush's irrational statement.
Terrorism is a concept and practice that is as old as civilization itself. It has no single home, and no single leader. And it cannot be destroyed by force of arms -- that just feeds the hatred.
