A three-week-long period is NOT normal, no matter how long a gap there was. I could see 7 or 8 days if your typical period was 5 days long -- but 21 days is a sign of serious hemorrhaging and you should see a doctor if that ever happens.
Implantation bleeding is sometimes mistaken for a period, but it is no more than 2-3 days long with light spotting and no clots. At 5 days, it is probably a normal period. Take a home pregnancy test to know for sure.

Have you gone to the doctors yet about why your period is so off? I'm sure you have taken a test by now and probably got a negative since you are asking if you could be pregnant. Your period wouldn't stay for 3 weeks just because you haven't had it in a while. If your normal period days are 5 days then that's what will happen, 5 days. It seems like your body isn't ovulating properly and that could be the cause of missing your period for so many months. Go see a doctor. You could have blood clots or an infection. I think if you were 3 months pregnant you would know for sure by this point. Good luck.

You can buy one of those over the counter pregnancy test or go to your local planned parenthood for a test to be sure. As far as a three week menustral cycle it does not sound realistic unless there is something medically wrong such as fibroids. If you have had a cycle for five days and it was heavy then I don't see how you can be pregnant it sounds as though your not, but you can be sure and rest your mind if you do one of the above and then get some type of birth control so that you won't have to worry or at least use a condom until you are ready to get pregnant.

You sound really young. How old are you? If you are 3 months late for your period, then you need to see a doctor! If you are not pregnant you could have ovarian cysts or some other problem. And I have never heard of having a period for 3 weeks just because you were late on past periods. That sounds strange.

Have you taken a pregnancy test to confirm that you are pregnant? If so then you should really go to the doctors and make sure everything is okay bleeding is not a good sign if you are pregnant. Even if nothing is wrong it is better to be safe then sorry.

I don't think so sorry. You better go to your gyno. It seems you have a very irregular cycle. The doctor can give you pills to regulate your period.
