No, it's part of being a responsible Q&A participant. If you don't choose, the people who answer don't even know if you read the responses. They took the effort to answer, you should take the time to vote and leave a little comment. It's only courtesy. It's OK if you forget or can't get back to it, but the ones who let all their questions go to a vote are a.rseholes.

If you asked the question to get a genuine answer, then you should pick the best answer...especially if it helped you in some way, but if you're not all hyped up over the question to begin with, then I guess it's the right thing to do to let others vote on the answer they like best. It's your question. Do whatever you like.

Well, if you can't pick out a best answer, you could just let he other people pick out one for you , but mind you , it might not always be the one you have in mind, or the one you prefered a bit over the others. And some times, unluckily, even a bad answer might be picked.
