Someone told me they heard that Starbucks offers insurance for part-time employees, but I don't know if this is true or really where to look to find out if it's true. Does anyone know? I wanted to go back to school so a part-time job with medical benefits would be really ideal. Thanks.

Starbucks offers insurance which includes medical, dental and vision to all partners who work an average of 20 hours per week. You must work 240 hours in a quarter, which is about 3 months long. That breaks down to 20/week. After certain time periods you are eligible for additional benefits such as 401K, stock purchase with a discount, disability, life insurance, etc. Benefits that begin on your first day of work are: 1 lb coffee free/week, 30% discount at all company stores and a support hotline (short term counseling, etc). Medical benefits begin the first month after you have worked for Starbucks for 90 days, maintaining you have worked 20/week. The cost of benefits is ridiculously inexpensive and there are several different plans to choose from.
