My recently deceased father-in-law. He was the most honest, caring, Christ-like person I've ever met.
- In 18 years I never heard him say a mean word to anyone.
- His worst 'swear word' was "Holy doodle".
- He was the epitome of integrity -- if he said he would do something, it was as good as done.
- He treated his wife with the utmost of respect.
- His family was his pride and joy and he never missed an opportunitiy to tell us so.
- He gave his time and his money to worthy causes often.
- He was a very hard worker. After he retired from dentistry, he spent a LOT of his time doing work for the dental examining boards and was extremely active until shortly before his death at 73.
- He ate right and exercised every day.
- He gave great hugs.
Why wouldn't he be my hero. I am lucky enough to be married to his son, who is his father's 'mini me'.

My husband. He had Lymphoma a few years ago, surgery, chemo, and all that
goes with it. He was cheerful and didn't mind me decorating his follicly challenged head with stickers. God is so good as He was with us every step of
the way. So I should say God and my husband are my heroes.

My Father the only person I have only ever truly respected, an honest, fair minded, gentleman, not many like him eft I am afraid. Quiet but not frightened to speak his peace.
