Random
adjective
happening, done or chosen by chance rather than according to a plan

Object
a thing that you can see or touch but that is not usually a living animal, plant or person

So, if your in need of a random object simply look around you right now and speack about the first thing that you see and if you don't like that pick something that you like to hold, throw, sit on etc...

A Painting. You can say how it can express and accent a home. It can mean a lot of things. Something like a doorbell would be stupid. Think about it. You want an object that has a lot to say about it. Then it will be easier for the words to flow out of your mind and on to paper.
