You understand that wifi covers a relatively small area, correct? Wifi is the market name for 802.11 (a, b, g,...). There really isn't any such as a wifi provider - other than companies like t-mobile that offer it at Starbucks. Some hotels (Westin for example) have free wireless in their lobbies. Some cities offer wireless service hot spots. There is an upcoming service, not widely deployed yet call municipal wifi (a.k.a. muni wifi). Unlikely it will be free, but the idea is for wifi access over a municiple area. The installations I've heard about are for cities that want to use it for city government communication, i.e. police have wifi network access, garbage trucks, firemen, road crews .....That doesn't mean that a service provider couldn't install a muni wifi network or that a city couldn't offer it to their citizens for Internet access.
If you want wireless connectivity today with much broader usability you need a wireless data service from one of the cellular providers - Spring, Cingular, Verizon etc...

I know a few free ones, if you're willing to take a walk; some parks in DC offer free wi-fi, and then there's always your local coffee shop. Depending on the place, you can get free wi-fi, or you pay as you go.

no longer plenty in any respect. All you % is by some ability to acquire broadband-telephone line, satellite tv for pc (it extremely is probable the dearest bit.then you certainly % instantaneous router. The campsite could make this password safeguard and value clientele an annual value. the only concern might desire to be the area from the furthest camper to the bas station. probably you have got instantaneous repeaters if needed. USB dongles (fairly T-Mob) are next to ineffective. yet in any different case is to apply a cellular telephone with unfastened information superhighway and tether it to a workstation or workstation (Blackberry in all possibility ideal) yet relies upon on telephone sign.
