In my last question that was answered very well, I asked if I was invading a copyright infringement and it was explained to me that it was. Now that I know that I need to contact for copyright reasons, how do I go about doing this? Where or how can I get permission? How much does it cost for one song?

You may want to visit this site. It may or may not help you as not all artists are members, but it is informative. http://www.ascap.com/index.html

You need to find out who owns the copyright to the work.

If it's a song, contact the record company. If it's on a website, contact the owner of the site. Even if that contact is not the copyright owner, they can direct you to who is.

You then negotiate with the copyright owner for permission.
