Just buy another CD. Try searching on Ebay, you will find many things at a cheap price.

You should try contacting Maxis and explain your problem. They may send you a replacement for a reduced cost. Do you still have your serial number? If you registered the game online then you should be able to retrieve it from there. That's your proof that YOU bought it since I assume you threw the receipt away ages ago. If you still have the serial number and you havn't registered online, then do so before you contact Maxis. Hope you can get it sorted.
