Dont know if this will work for you but when we moved into a brand new house we got money knocked off, carpets thrown in, washer, kitchen upgrade, fridge freezer, dishwasher, solicitors fees paid, some stamp duty paid and they bought our old house for the full asking price all because it was there end of year and they were desparate to sell as many house as they could to make there figures look better there deadline is the 30th of June but we had to be in by this date not a day later or we would have lost everything, so just bide your time. We went to a few different builders and they were all falling over themselves to do us deals just becuse of this yeard end thing.

builders and developers will never lower the price, quick example the site i'm on 2 apartment blocks and 24 houses a total of 36 residencies. the first 4 houses were bought before they were even built at 235k. all bought by one man. the first 4 houses are completed the first house is now selling on the market at 247k. the next 3 houses will easily go for 300k. in short they are parasites. i wonder do the buyers know that the developer was such a money grabbing bastard that we were instructed not to clear all the rubble and rubbish from under the floorboards, he wanted them knocked up in a hurry. just to let you know what your up against.
